Breaking In The New Journal

So, I’ve spent the better part of this past week setting up this new journal, when I wasn’t doing the editing thing over at Blogcritics.org. It was a lot more tedious and I made it much more complicated then it needed to be. Once I settled down, it went pretty smoothly. All except for importing the entries from Livejournal to over here. I fiddled and fiddled with the export and import tools until I wanted to scream, and then decided that I wasn’t going to delete the old journal anyway. So, the old stuff is over there, and the new stuff starts here. I probably will go ahead and download the whole thing, just to make sure I have an archive of those posts. I’ve kept that one up for over a year, and I’m pretty proud of that.

Health wise, it’s been tough around here lately. Katelynn continues to be worn out and in general poor health. The anti-biotic we got two weeks ago seemed to be helping with the step throat, but now that she’s been off them a week, all the symptoms are returning, symptoms we’ve been dealing with since December. The doctor is pretty confident she has Mono. He says the test for it is worthless, cause there is no treatment, so we’re not 100% sure, but in his mind, the bout of strep ciched it. (He says strep travels with mono about 30% of the time) I’m sure emotional stress doesn’t help, and she had a rough and tumble weekend.

All of that has also take it’s toll on me. Early in the week was *BAD* on the blood pressure, and yesterday and today I’ve been wrestling with some stomach bug. Mix that all in with very little sleep. . . and I’m looking forward to the weekend.

There’s a pony club meeting on Saturday that will eat up a couple hours, but I’m half planning to have a eat popcorn and watch movies day on Sunday. I can’t even tell you the last time I did that, and I have a pile of DVD’s I’ve bought and not had time to even open let alone watch.

Pony Club Quiz is next weekend, and I am actually looking forward to it. There are a lot of great people in the Region that I haven’t seen since D-Event Rally, and it will be nice to talk to them. My volunteer position is scorekeeper. I did that job last year and I enjoyed it. It meant I could be in the class room phase and it kept me busy. I’m also going to be helping to distribute the yearbooks from last year, as I’ve been adopted as part of that committee. Brad is serving as photographer, and I’m sure it will be up to me to get the pics written to disk and off to the proper people after rally.

Oh – this journal has that neat little feature over there —> called categories. Personal updates will be under “Life” so if you want to sort for just them, you can click that category.

Till next time all
